Haven’t I worked hard enough for my job/internship applications? Can’t just one bank agree to hire me? All these cover letters and resume editing is driving me nuts.
We’re indeed adults now, with all these adult problems.

I wanted to write on some philosophical stuff about my concept of money, but just let me get straight to the point.
I really don’t like lending people money because for one, I never ever seem to get them back in the least agonizing manner. There’ll be a time whereby I have to toughen myself up, sweeten my words and pray to the Lord that my attempt to get back the money will work. And lending money (without interest, mind you), which imo is out of kind intention, shouldn’t penalize the lender.
It’s unlike treating a friend to a meal, or buying a gift for a friend because the initial verbal agreement is to offer your friend some liquidity, and this sum is to be repaid at a later date. But if the mutual consensus is to treat/buy a gift, then this agreement wouldn’t be violated.
At this stage, it’s a very tricky and touchy issue to strike a good balance between being kind and being financially prudent. And when the money is loaned out, how best should I remind the person if (s)he has forgotten about the debt? Pardon my jargons. I don’t really mean it in a socially derogatory manner, but using it in an economics sense.
Anyway, the deal is done and I just have to wait. Hopefully for a favourable reply.
